You can achieve what you set out to do.
It’s never too late to change direction in your life. It can be a simple turn, redirection, or a complete 180. The first steps might feel more than tough. In fact, they may feel hopeless. The only thing you require of yourself that first day is to keep going, one foot in front of the other. A small step that day, that faces you in the right direction. Knowing you can do what you set yourself out to achieve, rely on faith in yourself alone, as well as the desire for change, will keep you moving. It is up to you alone to keep going. As you continue on when no change seems to be happening, this is when fortitude and self discipline play a role, when giving up is the easier and safer choice. Frustration might set in, feeling there are no results or light at the end of the tunnel. Scrap those negative thoughts, and replace them with hope.
You may not be fully where you want to be, but you are surely headed in the right direction. Keep going.
Remember a time when you kicked life’s butt. You did it once, you can do it again. Slowly, progress sets in. You begin to see small changes, that only you yourself can see or feel- whether mentally, emotionally, or physically. Confidence begins to set in at your core. This is when small choies become big choices, because your daily habits inevitably affect your day, whether positive or negative. And naturally, days become weeks, weeks become months, and months become years.
So with every healthy decision, whether it be food, getting enough sleep, giving yourself positive self talk- it all eventually becomes your everyday. And when you do that, over time, positive choices, habits, and hard work begin to pay off. You may not be there yet, but turn around. Look where you were before you made that turn, redirection, or change. You’ve come further than you think, because most people don’t even attempt redirection. Now pat yourself on the back, and keep going.
